If you are purchasing in large volumes, say for a hotel, motel or 5 or more model homes, you should definitely request wholesale furniture pricing from your vendor. We can certainly assist you with these types of projects and have been assisting purchasers with these sorts of projects for many years. There are many aspects that one must think of when purchasing wholesale furniture. One of the first questions that we ask in these types of cases is for the time frame of delivery. Some projects have a 6 month to 1 year time frame while others only give us six weeks to turn all pieces in. All projects can be fun but the wider the time frame, the less stress that everyone will go through in putting the project together. For projects in Florida, we have to receive all pieces and fully inspect them before the time of delivery. All furniture pieces should also be inspected for defects. All upholstery pieces should be inspected for rips or stains.
The only reason why we would not refuse an item at the time of delivery is if it is missing a smaller part; say a handle on a drawer or a shelf pin on a bookcase, which can easily be sent out to the client via FedEx or UPS.
Obtaining wholesale furniture is certainly a nice idea but for regular consumers, we strongly recommend that you avoid this idea and settle for a bit higher pricing but much better service.
